[Mother's day poem dedicated to my Mom]
Billions of candles flutter on earth
All lighting up the night
Some placed hitter skitter
Abandoned alone on lonely cliffs
Where the wind roars contentedly
Fear, anxiety all the negative feelings approaches
Trooping in one by one
All lining up for attention
Like little pesky toy soldiers
Trying to snuff out candles
A candle burns alone
On a rocky cliff by the sea
Waiting for carers
She continues to burn
But, non did come
Her flame has died down low
No one trims her wick
She is all but spent
Alone she waits
A human comes
Dressed in jeans and shirt
Bending down the person
places a shelter around her
The wind is stopped short
Pesky draft soldiers dithered
The candle stops weeping wax
Her flame roars
She is protected
She is safe
Brightly she burns
Hoping her children will come
Where are they she wonders
But, brightly she burns
Her daughter was the human
Who bent down with the shelter
Standing aside she watches
Her mother burn down
Tears drop onto the grass
Sadly she waits as her mother burns down
The human wants to tell the candle
I love you mother
But, the candle can neither understand
Nor hear the human tongue unroll
Tears drops onto the grass
All alone she watches her mother burn down
A little while longer
And, her mother will be free
On the tomb stone is written
Mother, I love you
The little candle has burnt down
Now burning brightly in heaven's fortress
The human walks away alone
To live, to shine for her mother
A mother who turned candle
Waxed due to illness
Candle-out by disease
Alone she will wonder the earth
Amongst the 7 billion candles
Looking forward to the day
Her mother and her can hug each other
Enjoy heaven's health forever and ever
Mother I love you
