Don't worry

So last weekend in church our pastor talked about anxiety. I guess I have been covering up some of mine lately. But things sort of hit the fan the other day and I can to the realization pretty quick that I am human!

I am going to post up a couple of things I wrote in my journal here so perhaps it will shed some light on my current state of mind.

"All too often we let the things of this world take over our lives. We become caught up in the things the Lord has given us for pleasure. We stand in our closets saying, "I have nothing to wear." We stand in the kitchen looking in the pantry saying, "There is nothing to eat." Yet we seem to look past all those folded right in front of us or the groceries that are being kept cool in and preserved in the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. We have developed a scatoma for what we have already been blessed with and often think we need more or know better.

God says in Mathew that we are not to worry for God provides for even teh birds of the air and the flowers in teh fields. How much more valuable are you than them? Perhaps this is just a verse that you read right over without ever taking the time to actually consider the boldness of it. I know I did several times. The truth however is that God will provide all your needs. God will also grant your desires. Make no mistake, God is listening and knows your heart. Be careful of what you ask for as too often our desires are the pathwas to our destruction.

Therefore, we are to seek the will of God! Don't build up treasures here on earth where they may be stolen or eaten by moth, but rather in Heaven. "Where your treseure is, there your heart and throughts will be as well." Mat 6:21

Mat 6:33 says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his rightousness and all these things shall be added to you."

If we focus on seeking God he will continue to provide for our needs. Blessings will be poured out upon us. There will be very little anxiety in our lives for our faith in the Father will be sufficient. We are commanded to not worry in Mat 6:34, "So don't worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will bring it's own worries. Todays trougble is enough for today."

All the things we have been blessed with are constantly crying out to us, "Here I am. Don't worry." God has provided. We already have what we need and that is more than we will ever deserve. If we are truly in need, then God only wants to hear your faithful prayers. He is only waiting for you to give up the worrying so he can work wonders in your life. You only need to ask!"
