A time to live a time to die
No moment can return
How swift this life may pass us by
No man can yet discern
The time we have is not our own
But God’s whom we should serve
Time for a while He gives on loan
Oft more than we deserve
We waste so much, both night and day
Like fools we’ve time for crime
When nought remains in which to pray
We’ll know the price of time
How quick it flows can oft amaze
Like winter follows spring
Life’s seconds, minutes, hours, days
When young don’t mean a thing
But then, when man has passed his prime
When wrinkles mar his face
So oft when running out of time
He’ll seek Salvation’s grace
The time that’s left, through grace allowed
We need to spend so well
If Christ’s to find us in the cloud
Don’t wait for time to tell
Life’s clock on earth, ticks on and on
It’s spring keeps winding down
Will Jesus smile when time has gone?
Or judge you with a frown?
There is a time for everything
But now it’s time to seek
A time for Christ our Lord and King
While still we’ve time to speak.
No moment can return
How swift this life may pass us by
No man can yet discern
The time we have is not our own
But God’s whom we should serve
Time for a while He gives on loan
Oft more than we deserve
We waste so much, both night and day
Like fools we’ve time for crime
When nought remains in which to pray
We’ll know the price of time
How quick it flows can oft amaze
