Dont Be A Fool

Living to sin, a stench on high
We live this life in vain
We need to change before we die
Repent and start again

A second chance to set us free
However good we seem
Only a fool would not agree
Who lives the devil’s dream

We’re here to love to serve and fight
To Jesus bend our knee
By faith to share God’s gift of Light
Till all His children see

We know its wrong to walk in shame
To live in constant sin
The wrath of God to re-inflame
Through filth consumed within

The sceptics though will walk in doubt
Will close to God their door
Yet what their tongues may brag about
The fool has said before

We’ve seen the wicked bloom and thrive
We watch them scoff and jeer
While some in Christ to stay alive
May forage whilst they’re here

Common is such the tales of sin
And frequent those in Christ
Though poor without we’re rich within
As offerings sacrificed

But when once more God treads the earth
The day we servants yearn
Mockers will curse their time of birth
Before in hell they burn
