Our health is good our house is fine
Our portion’s more then fair
We eat choice meat with rare old wine
Which life has had to share
We think we’re free but is it real?
Is Jesus on our throne?
Is it perhaps the way we feel?
Because of things we own
We think we’re rich though lost and poor
We disobey God’s word
Unless in Christ with hearts made pure
Our reasoning’s absurd
We’ll still remain the devil’s tool
Living a life of sin
To self and God we play the fool
With no way out to win
Unless we see The Truth first hand
And lose our foolish pride
Begin at last to understand
And bid God’s Son inside
For lest our hearts have truly learned
Our silver counts for nought
Salvation’s crown can not be earned
Nor endless life be bought
Cast down your idols made of gold
Bow down to Christ your knee
Look deep inside and then behold
What Truth would have you see
Then love your God your neighbours too
Give Christ your sinful heart
Join the ranks of the chosen few
And live to do your part
