Have you ever heard of Jesus?
Faith, enough to believe
His teachings, though not to please us
Will cause from sin to cleave
Through love, more than a mother’s arms
Opening sightless eyes
Jesus will free from death’s alarms
From hell’s demonic ties
Christ knowing, brings doubt’s sweet demise
Comfort one’s aching soul
Will strip off, each devil’s disguise
Hindering Heaven’s goal
With wisdom at a certain height
We’ll cease to wonder why
Obedience is The Lord’s delight
How sinful rebels die
With true knowledge of why He came
Supreme, Jesus will reign
Life’ fire burning our shame
Until we’re born again
Perhaps this may sound strange to you
Impossible at first
But nought will cloud no servant’s view
Who hunger, love and thirst
With help, being a prayer away
Assistance, close at hand
No child of God will ever stray
Who’ll truly understand
That Christ, is The First, Christ, is The Last
Almighty Lord and King
Cleansing us from our wayward past
