Following from part 2:
So with this incident happening, and our son not remembering any of the specific event we tried to find help and turned to our local church, expecting the "full cavalry" to arrive, well you know, the pastor, associate pastor, and a number of elders. Well, we were deeply disappointed to hear to pastor didn't deal with these sort of matters, but that the associate pastor will handle matters. Again, in talking to the associate pastor it was very soon evident they had no experience in dealing with demons, and we were told via phone to simply give our son as much live as possible, and were invited for a coffee appointment two days on. Not what we expected, or wanted.
Not knowing anything about demons or spiritual warfare, we mobilised family and friends into prayer.
Looking back, there were some clear symptoms of things that happened over the course of the previous year or so, not all at once, but something every once in a while. Some of these were:
- he was always cold, even in summer he would wear a sweater. Now he was scrawny so we didn't think much of it;
- he had some severe panic attacks, of which I witnessed one. His whole bode was shivering, shaking like in fear, and he sat down on his bed. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he didn't know, but that he was scared. If asked of what? Again, he didn't know, but he was simply scared.
- he would at times have pins and needles in his hands, and his hands would go blue like from when freezing cold;
- he would sleep a lot. We simply thought he was going through a growth spurt, which he was, but this was just constantly sleeping. We would get feedback from school that he actually literally fell asleep in class at school. Every day as he got home from school he would go straight into bed, and sleep a couple of hours;
- he would at times complain of feeling dizzy, like having dizzy spells, to such an extent we took him to see the local GP. Nothing wrong obviously.
- he would loose track of time,
- lack of concentration;
- wants to do things perfectly, and in the end gets nothing done, such as writing school essay.
- extremely absent minded;
- he would at times in the middle of the night hear voices coming from outside his bedroom window, but we would hear nothing and I am a light sleeper
- again, at times he would hear cats in the middle of the night, and again I heard nothing that night
- he once told us he had an out of body experience, but thought it might have been a dream
- his room would at times exude a foul smell, and we couldn't identify the cause;
- his eyes at times would have a "dead" look to them, and he would not show any emotion.
Anyhow, this was some of the things we noticed over a period of time, and in retrospect things seem clear, but it most certainly is not clear if you are in the situation and not aware of what you are dealing with.
To be continued sometime, much more to tell....
