Deceitful Shadows

How far, how much I failed life’s goal
Blind to life’s sovereign Lord
Through insecurities of my soul
Life’s shadows long ignored

Shadows, wherein devils reside
Where gloom gives birth to lies
Fuelling rejection of true life’s Guide
And closing children’s eyes

So kith and kin are being fooled
Hindered by gross deceit
Oblivious of being ruled
Until death’s work’s complete

For loss, mankind was not designed
For sickness nor tears
But sin’s temptations clouds the mind
Till truth disappears

Though living knowledge everywhere
Is but a prayer away
Where love, where grace, willing to share
With all who’ve gone astray

Heaven’s love is never-ending
As Jesus Christ displayed
Who Salvation’s Word defending
Life’s restoration made

These facts I saw, life’s truth was mine
Scorching demonic weed
Believing, knowing, Christ divine
Through Heaven’s planted Seed

Childish, faithful, bending my knee
Alone beside my bed
The living Jesus set me free
From doubters, walking dead…..
