How heavy grew the dreadful load
Appalling pain was borne
Traveling down Damascus road
Facing tomorrow’s dawn
I hated Him I hadn’t seen
Despised the great unknown
Heaven and hell and in-between
Loathing my walk alone
This can’t be right there must be more
Though blind; my soul could see
What reason am I living for?
What’s life in store for me?
The world throughout is plagued with wars
Poverty’s everywhere
Has no one come to plead our cause?
Does Heaven even care?
Am I a fool to think such things?
Feeling the things I feel
How come my aching heart now sings?
Believing Jesus real
Could it be You can You be here?
The One who bore my shame?
The One who promised to appear
To those who call Your name
If You are real if You are true
The Christ who died for me
Then set my heart to knowing You
And set my soul now free
I’m calling out I’m calling loud
My God I see The Light
Before returning in Your cloud
Give me a robe of white
