GOD`S TIME FRAME - The Times of the Gentiles.
`Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles (Nations) until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.` (Luke 21: 24)
God has set in place a Time Frame for the Gentile Nations to rule the world. This Time Frame is called `the Times of the Gentiles.`
God gave Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon a pictorial vision of this Time Frame. The vision was of a Great Image of a man standing in the Middle East in Babylon. God then gave Daniel, an Israelite & servant in the king`s court, the interpretation.
The interpretation revealed that God would give the Gentile nations power & dominion to rule the world for a set time. God gave the first world rulership to king Nebuchadnezzar of the Babylonian kingdom. The other kingdoms would follow till finally there would be one last Gentile world ruler.
`Daniel said to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, “.....the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength & glory.` (Dan. 2: 37)
How amazing that over 500 B.C that God would reveal to man the world rulers and the order in which they would come. We, today can view this prophetic word and see it come to pass.
History has shown that the first four mighty powers to rule the world were -
`God has numbered your kingdom, & finished it....You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting....Your kingdom has been divided & given to the Medes & Persians. ` (Dan. 5: 26 – 28)
God will judge the final government also.
This is graphically shown by God, as a stone, (the Lord) striking the Gentile Rulership and doing away with it all. God will then bring in His rulership through Israel as promised, to rule the world under the Lordship of Christ.
