We just want to survive well here, and see all this space around us, and no other people anywhere around, but the few of us. If we survive and there are more generations after us, it would take many hundreds, even many thousands of years, right? It would take even thousands of generations to threaten to fill up all the country we can see from here with the built structures of those later generations. Why should it concern us when we need to take of surviving and living well enough that there would be this place even for children growing up here after us?"
