Consider Lifes Reason

Truth, to crush, the world’s still trying
God’s living Word deny
Thus surely slowly, she’s dying
Blind to the reason why

Though God opens Salvation’s arms
Gives keys to Heaven’s Door
Make known the ploys of Satan’s charms
That death, should be no more

Two thousand years has come and gone
Since God came down to earth
As Heaven’s Lamb, God’s mortal Son
To die, true life to birth

But then as now, few people see
Have ears, to understand
Salvation’s plan, God’s royal decree
Spoken with upheld hand

Proclaimed and promised, in His name
From death, to life He’ll raise
Repentant souls, from sin and shame
Will see no end of days

Although the bible’s true and plain
Though every land has heard
Most live and end their lives in vain
Ignorant of God’s Word

Pompous, defiant, unforgiving
Takers, givers of nought
Selfish, disobedient, living
By hell’s temptations bought

Still, this warning countless, will doubt
Who’ll never see God’s face
I know what I’m talking about
Saved, by Christ’s blood poured grace….
