After being away for awhile, coming back here so far has been smooth. Simply because I came back with a different attitude. I should be worrying about my own faith and not anyone else.
Bias is a term used to describe a tendency or preference towards a particular perspective and ideology. A bias could lead one to accept or deny the truth that is often very "one-sided" while ignoring the other. By nature, all of us are bias therefore it is very easy for us to be bias. Self-interest is something we all understand because since physical birth, as infants, we learned how to get what we want. Can some understand when someone who asks, “Why should I be a Christian? What is in it for me?”
God is not impressed by faith (1. Samuel 16:7). The Lord said to Samuel, "Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t make decisions the way you do. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at a person's thoughts and intentions (heart)." (NLT). Jesus even said that behaving faith can be deceiving (Matt. 23:27), therefore we are not to judge others by their faith (James 2:2-4)because Paul wrote "The trouble with you is that you make your decisions on the basis of appearance." The Pharisees were judging others based on their practice of faith.
