Clapping in the New Covenant Church

Clapping in the New Covenant Church

(Quotes taken from "Plans, Purposes, & Pursuits", by Kenneth Hagin).

"…Therefore we need to understand when clapping is appropriate and when it is inappropriate."

Jesus said something that astounded me. He said to me, “Clapping is neither praise nor worship.” Jesus said that to me. He went on to say, “To clap is to applaud.”
(P98)

In the visitation, Jesus discussed clapping with me from the scriptures. He said, “There is not one scripture from the New Testament about clapping. The Bible says in Psalms 47:1 “O clap your hands….” Clapping in this verse denotes an attitude of victory.”
(p99)

(AA - I remember Kat Kerr mentioning that she heard clapping in Heaven sounding like thunder. I believe clapping by the church (in the proper context) is expressed in this way.. not as praise though.)

“The world claps”, Jesus said to me. “Saints praise.”
(p99)

“Then He spoke to me about the different kinds of meetings -- believer’s meetings, evangelistic meetings, healing meetings, teaching meetings, prayer meetings, worship services, and so forth.”

“He said,
“Where you are missing it today in your culture in the United States, is that you put all those kinds of meetings into one service, and so you never really reach the full potential of any meeting.”
(
pg41)

(AA - I hope you pastors really heard that because it is absolutely true. Why not do something about it?)

Jesus said to me, “Pastors should teach their congregation little by little about the move of the Holy Spirit so they’ll know how to move with Him and they’ll know when to keep quiet. They shouldn’t scold their people or train them in a negative way, but they need to teach them to be quiet when the Holy Spirit is in manifestation. They should tell them to listen, and after the Holy Spirit has spoken, to lift their hands and praise Me.” (pg105)

“When you really learn to praise and worship Me in the right way, you’ll find a stronger anointing and a greater move of the Holy Spirit in your midst.”
(pg105)

“Some of the old-time Pentecostals knew something about that deeper move of the Spirit. The modern-day Pentecostals -- this new generation of charismatics - know very little or nothing about it. Charismatics know little or nothing about the move of My Spirit. Charismatics know a little about praising Me, but they know nothing at all about true worship.”
(pg109-110)

(AA - So if we want the greater move, it's time to stop clapping during praise and make the adjustment.)
