Disciples of today
To Heaven He guarantees us
Living salvation's Way
Bidding Christ's righteous hand, hold ours
In His footsteps, when we tread
God may grant amazing powers
To raise the walking dead
To hear Life's Truth, where others fail
See, where darkness reigns
Free wretched souls filthy in jail
Breaking the stoutest chains
A word here, a touch love there
An answer to a dream
A pinch, a drop, with someone share
Bridging a vicious stream
Those old those sick, an urchin, a scamp
The wealthy, and the poor
As Jesus would, be them a lamp
To rise, walk, love, once more
Broken hearts are everywhere
Souls, may be beaten low
By Heaven's grace we can be there
Enabling hearts to glow
With our hands taking up theirs
Hearing their troubled call
Seeing someone loves and cares
However deep we fall
For were we better than these now
Lost, out, festooned in shame
Before Christ feet I came to bow
I too, was just the same.....
