Christianity Corrupted?
I have had a deep desire to grow closer to God. This is much easier said than done, to begin my journey which I hope will lead me to a relationship with Him I began attending church. This was almost 2 years ago, since then I try to devote myself to prayer and my community. I would be lying if I told you I had found the peace I was looking for. In my experience, this road seems to be long and something one must work for-I am still walking this road-unable to rest at my destination.
The more I read-the Bible-the more my questions outweigh my answers. Currently I have three questions that are weighing heavy on my mind.
1. The Sabbath. Constantine corrupted the Sabbath in an effort to ease the transition of religion. Changing it from Saturday to Sunday. Are we wrong for allowing this to continue? We are not honoring the Sabbath by going to church each Sunday.
2. There was Adam, then Eve, then Cain and Abel. Cain slew Abel-a story we all know. Then Cain went out into the world and married. Who did he marry? Did God create a new superior race when he created Adam?
3. Is there a "Satanic Line"? In Adam's genealogy Cain is not mentioned. God condemns certain tribes such as the Edomites, Amalekites, and so on. I can give more ex. of this mostly stemming from Genesis.
I am not attempting to disprove anything, I am only attempting to find a better understanding of what doesn't ever seem to be addressed in the church.
