Before I start writing about Christian Mysticism, we need a good definition so everyone is on the same page.
Christian Mysticism - Growing in Faith with God. Having a walk with God. Experiencing cause and effect. There have been Christian Mystics the last 2000 or so years. You may experience similar things to what they experienced.
What Christian Mysticism is not is occult/New Age/Eastern Pagan, and so on. Christian Mysticism is rooted in The Bible and Christian Tradition. All Christians who are growing in Faith, and doing the right things, may end up "Mystics."
Things that you may need:
You are baptized and accept Jesus Christ. You did whatever your pastor required of you to do. You need to study your Bible, be committed, and embrace trials in your life. (James 1:2-4) You may need to seek out trials.

More or less, if I wrote about it in this blog, it may be relevant, but the above is the minimum I believe someone may need to help grow in understanding without having walked anyone through it or mentored them in person. You read the New Testament from an Old Testament understanding.
God is Good
Lucifer was known as an angel of light? Do you consider yourself a good person?
God is Good. God is Holy and Separate from sin.
Are you really good?
One of the things that helped me take off with growing in Faith and my walk with God is the acknowledgement that God is Good, God is Holy and Separate from sin. I am man.
Being man, am I evil?
I was evil, and there is something to it. As a man working outside of God, I did some evil things. As a man working for God, in God's plan for me, working to build God's Kingdom am I good?
Someone who sees themselves as Good and their perceived goodness is attached to their ego is of man and the flesh, and not of The Spirit of God. Someone who humbles themselves before God, really allows in the Spirit of God, and allows God to work through them may be on the path less taken. Given you understand and accept this, you may be on the road to having a deeper relationship with God, and experiencing more in Faith. Faith is something that grows. It is a knowledgeable dependence.
