There are so many people I hear from these days who claim that they want to believe in what I believe, but fail to percieve one very simple thing, through faith we believe, and through faith we apply, but this is purely faith, however true Christian strength comes not from being convinced that its true, but rather apply through faith and experience it as truth in our lives, people seem to be asking these days please convince me I really want to believe, or I cant believe because of this question or that question.
I am really starting to put this down to the left lobe society we are being conditioned into these days, people cannot believe anything unless they can understand it fully in their left lobe, according to knowledge and logic.
Problem is however God transends all that is percievable and logical to man, and the only way to really get a true grasp of God in our own minds is to experience God work in our lives, this is the only way we can comprehend the uncomprehendable, the source of Christian experience has to remain as faith, God is not limited to any set of rules or standards that we can work out naturally.
we know as Christians that God exists as pure goodness, life and rightiousness, we can all agree to this, but many people hear this and end up putting God in a box, I have tried for a long time to try and put into words how God has revealed himself to me according to my experience, but its my experience and personal to me, I know he is true because I have come to know a tiny bit of God through my experience and can always apply the same things in my life and know I will get the same results because I now understand this, but to tell someone else the same thing really means nothing, yes it serves as good edification for a believer, but I know most left lobe thinkers these days will just try and put this in a box or a book or an equation, they fail to realise that God is not a formula or mathematical equation, but rather from my experience (although words still cannot describe this fully) God is in the purest sense, perfect, good and life, God is the polar extreme positive of all things positive, again by saying this it puts God in a box in other people minds because they try and comprehend this and as their comprehension is limited, so God becomes limited in their mind.
One of the greatest things Ive learned in my walk so far is that, as soon as we think we have got things worked out, it becomes void, it becomes void because God becomes a God in our head, rather than the true God that is in all things, the only true path we can follow is to apply the word of God in our lives, and walk our walk according to our prototype, Christ, according to faith, and gain experience which reveals the nature of God in our lives.
I believe this is the greatest thing we can do as believers, is apply the word of God through faith, according to our own heart and desire, as Christ said its what comes out of the heart that reveals a persons true charactor, its what comes out of the heart that either corrupts or justifies any person, and as God sees our hearts, like the bible says we are all naked before him, nothing hidden, then only can things coming from a pure heart with true motives gloryify God, which in turn reveals God to us, anything else is as God says, wood hey and straw, which leads to self rightiousess, arrogance and many other sins of the heart.
