Cast Off

For worldly gain, I’ll waste no time
On earth, this life’s too short
I’ve left behind my days of crime
I’ve read the “True Report”

Since Heaven raise my consciousness
Since Christ became my all
Upon the ship TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS
I’ll not look back or fall

I’m going on without a care
From all before, I’m done
I’m Heaven bound to have my share
With Christ! God’s living Son

The Truth must now be clear to all
Man’s flesh, God made from dust
Yet through His Lamb, we’ll never fall
When Him alone, we trust

The One, with holes in hands and feet
Who’s blood flows free as wine
Who’s flesh is now my daily meat
Who’s Light of life is mine

Before I come to Heaven’s feast
In Christ I’ll do my bit
I’ll shun the foe that ancient beast
Who’s destined for the pit

There’s nowhere else for me to go
Not now the facts I’ve seen
Not since God’s Flame began to glow
And purge this child now clean

By grace, I walk God’s chosen Way
With faith; my constant guide
With Christ as Lord my rod and stay
With living Truth inside …
