I haven't been here in three years, and I accidentally stumbled across the place today. I knew it looked vaguely familiar so I did the forgotten password thing and here I am. I can't believe I'm here again.
So, I've looked back at my blogs and me worrying about GCSE results. That was *so* long ago now, it's amazing. I've had A-Levels since then and decided that, despite my great grades, I would do what felt right and not what everyone expected me to do. So last year I pulled out and cancelled my uni place and went into the world of work.
Everyone who considers themselves to be an influence in my life has spent the year trying to persuade me otherwise, but they've had little success. So, I'm working in a shop now as a supervisor. It's not a fantastic job, and I spend a lot of time stacking shelves, but I do think it's doing me good. It's keeping me humble, and making sure that I don't think I'm above anything. It's increasing my self-confidence and improving my communication with other people. It's forming friendships with people I wouldn't normally because I'd consider them too outgoing for me etc etc. So, even though it's not much fun, it's doing me good.
I have no idea how long I'll be there, if I'll ever go to uni etc etc so I'm just playing it by ear at the moment.
