Read: Jeremiah 1:1-10
"And Moses said unto God, WhoamI, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?" Ex.3:11
When God asks us to do something it is usually something which is bigger than ourselves. If we were able to do it by ourself then we would not need God. His choosing is not dependent on our abilities, skills, education or possessions or the lack of them.
When He chooses us He is inviting us to partner in what He is doing. His work will be sustained by His resources, His workers will be anointed with His power, His wisdom and knowledge will supply the know how. When God called Jeremiah he felt insecure, young and unable. God reminded Jeremiah that he was Gods choosing and God empowered him to do what He required.
If we were to look to ourselves when God asks us to do something we will always feel inadequate and unable. Our weakness will keep us paralyzed in moving forward into what God has for us. Our imaginations will create 'giants' which do not even exist. The four lepers were sitting outside the camp hungry and forgotten. They came to their senses and said,"Why sit we here until we die?" 2 Kings. 7:3 Their decision to get up and confront the very thing they thought might kill them led to an amazing discovery. There were no enemies!.
God loves to choose those whom the world sees as weak or foolish. David was willing to fight Goliath but Saul saw him as a youth and unskilled.Saul saw him as one without strength and without the right "gear". What Saul did not see was that David was anointed of God and God was with Him.People may think you do not qualify and are unskilled but if God is with you and for you He will triumph in you and bring about His purposes. You are Gods choice!! Are we willing to trust Gods choice?
"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; "1 Cr.1:27
