But He Who Endures To The End Shall Be Saved .

Matthew 24:13

But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

I once thought this was an “if” phrase from Christ. That IF those who do endure to the End, they will be saved. Like a reward of sorts or maybe an incentive.

But upon studying the Greek usage of that phrase I found it can be another Promise from God that we are guaranteed to endure when things get bad around us. Christ, after all, will not allow situations and sorrow to separate us from the love of God that will be there no matter what. We, who are truly Saved, will go through trials is our life and in keeping our eyes on Christ will make it better and even more Peaceful for us as we go through these trials. As a Promise, it will then be a matter of how well we endure.

We are going though a Pandemic of course and fearfulness is in our society is so evident. We must not adopt this fearfulness and find our way back to Peace as the world gets even more maddening. Certainly immersing ourselves into the Word [versus the world] is vital and of course praying. And praying to keep strong and you find yourself praying for those around you who might be fearful or going through huge problems. I definitely think on those in the southern states right now and the families that lost loved ones in the tornados. Praying for those who are going through this pandemic like the rest of us and now their homes are now destroyed as well. When we put part of our focus on others--This is a form of perfect love, listed in this verse:

1 John 4:18

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

We can find ourselves refreshed in prayers for those who have it much worse than us and we then become a little less fearful afterwards.

The Peace of God is in realizing that “He who endures to the end” is a promise and the closer your are to God, He will give us the strength to bear up no matter what the situation.
