We risk in life and suffer loss
Even to find defeat
If when we burn each bridge we cross
Or turn from friends we meet
A bridge can lead to make a friend
Can lead to meet a foe
Can lead us to the rainbows end
Depending how we go
Exploring life with this is view
Keeping an open mind
Each day can start with something new
When eyes no more are blind
I too walked on a bridge one day
Passed water none could ford
I knew I’d found The Perfect Way
In Jesus Christ The Lord
Thinking to walk or there remain
I thought to stay a while
But saw my thoughts were all in vain
When Christ began to’ smile
I saw The Truth I heard His voice
I knew and understood
So made The Bridge my lifelong choice
That still remains me good
I cross each day and every night
Christ’s teachings to amass
I see the end has brilliant light
Across the sea of glass
Its best not burn our bridges down
But cross them one by one
Perhaps you too; may find life’s crown
