There are times in our lives when we get into ruts that are extremely difficult to get ourselves out of on our own. These are times when we need the prayers of others to lift us up.
God wants us to pray for one another.
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Eph 6 tells us we are to watch with perseverance. What is it we are watching for when we pray for each other?
We are watching for the working of the Holy Spirit in their need so we can give God the glory due His name.
You see God answers prayer. No special words or order or signs or kneeling required: Supplication pure simple is just talking to the Creator of the Universe one on One.
The really wonderful part of the conversation is that He knows your heart even before you whisper your first word. His Holy Spirit makes intercession for you praying for the things you don't even know how to pray for yourself.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Rom 8:26
Thank-you LORD for your mercy endures forever.
So if you are in a rut or unable to break a cycle in your life that is pulling you down into the muck and mire. Ask me and I will pray with you in the name of Jesus'.
Each day when I awake, I receive a word that leads to a blog entry, that leads to a prompting to pray. Today's word: "Share my desire to hear from them in prayer and your willingness to come along beside them as a mentor and prayer partner."
It doesn't matter when you read this, day or night. It doesn't matter if you have places to go and no time to approach the throne of grace. Just send me a message and I'll begin praying as soon as I read it and continue praying with and for you when you return.
God be with you.
