  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ever wonder what true unity in the church really means? It's not about emotional highs, cool events, or political agreement. The Westminster Confession and Scripture (like Ephesians 4:4-6) are clear: the church's catholicity (universality) is built on a shared profession of the true religion...

Conscience is not a thermostat of personal moral preference, but a receiver that finds its true signal in the power and Word of God. As we draw closer to Him, our conscience is guided by the Holy Spirit's quiet voice, helping us tune out the static of self and the world so that we may more...
“Five centuries later, the nailed parchment still asks the church: ‘Reforming back to Scripture, or revising to fit the age?’” Is the church called to update the gospel for each new generation, or to recover it when culture has drifted? In this short essay I examine the New Perspective on...

To Abide Is to Act and to Do, in Accordance with the Lord Jesus Christ From a Reformed theological perspective, abiding in Christ’s word represents the fundamental process of truly belonging to God because it encompasses both the sovereign work of God and our responsive participation in that...
Strong and Gentle The popular portrayal of Jesus as perpetually meek and mild misrepresents the biblical account. Instead, Jesus demonstrates a profound combination of strength and gentleness, showing us that true power is not about aggression, but about controlled strength serving a higher...
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 God’s faithfulness in forgiving sins is a fundamental promise throughout Scripture. As written in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to...
“While this “declarative” interpretation is an interesting angle, and I appreciate its attempt to resolve a theological puzzle, I find myself not fully convinced. My primary reasons stem from both the practical implications for the Church and, more importantly, the very character of Jesus...
Just Think About This: If your heart lies to you—can you really trust it to lead you to truth? Many people today believe that the power to choose God lies within themselves. That if they just try hard enough, see clearly enough, or feel deeply enough, they can turn from sin and follow Christ...
Think – Reason – Understand Conversations that lift up the Mighty Name of Yahweh and His Great Plan We live in a world that moves fast—quick answers, short videos, headlines that barely scratch the surface. But some things in life aren’t meant to be rushed. They need time. They ask us to slow...
