Is the Bible the Word of God? I believe so. Men could not put this together. Only God could make something this perfect and use men to do it.
The Bible was written over a period of 15 centuries. With around 40 authors with 19 different occupations. It was written on 3 different continents in many locations. Written in 3 different laguages ( Hebrews, Greek, Aramaic). It has hundreds of controversial topics. The only way a book like that could be unified without contadiction is with God as the author. The Bible has been indestructable, after many atempts to destroy it. This was done by Emperors, and religious figures. The historical accuracy has proven itself over and over again. People like Sir William Ramsey, William F. Albright was avid critics of the Bible untill archaeology changed their mind. Nelson Glueck wrote (" No archaeological discovery has ever contradicted a Bible reference." Evidence That Demands a Verdict.p 65). Examples like Sodom and Gomorrah. There was no reference to the cities except for in the Bible untill 1968 when the Ebla tablets was discovered. Archaeology discovered the cities not only existed but they were as the Bible described. They was highly populated and very fertile area. They also discovered it was suddenly destroyed by a disaster of great magnitude that even left the soil infertile, this also happened around 2,000 BC.
The Bible stated many scientic facts before man discovered it. It tells us the earth was round 22 centuries before man discovered it ( Isa 40:22). The fact Earth is suspended in space. Job wrote ( Job 26:7) this fact 33 centuries before man discovered this. Around that time it was thought the earth was flat and sat on the back of a huge turtle who was going through a cosmic sea. I know very funny now a days. The fact that the stars are innumerable was written ( Gen 15:5) 21 centuries before man discovered this. The fact there are mountains and canyons in the ocean 29 centuries before man discovered it. Not much longer than a century ago it was believed that the ocean was like a bowl and the middle was the deapest ( 2 Sam 22:16 and Jonah 2:6). The fact of springs in the ocean was written ( Gen 7:11, 8:2, Proverbs 8:28) 35 centuries before men discovered it. The fact of ocean current was written 27 centuries before men discovered it. It was not thought of untill Matthew Fountaine Maury heard Psalms 8:8 where it states paths of the sea. He decided since God said there are paths in the sea they must be there. He then soon charted all the majors lanes and sea currents.

Things like Leporsy which killed millions in Europe which was worse than the Black Death of the fourteenth century. Physicians had nothing to offer and it was not until they went to the church for advice. Following the instruction in Leviticus the Church made one of the first great defeats of the disease. The health benefits of circumcision, and the best time to perform it was not discovered until the 1940's. The Bible tells us this 40 centuries before this was discovered. Bloodletting was performed because we believed evil was in the blood. The Bible tells us the truth ( Leviticus 17:11) 32 centuries before we discovered this.
The Two laws of Thermodynamics was noted in the Bible 33 centuries before we discovered them. The first law is energy can only be converted, and is not being created or destroyed and can not be. The first law was described in Genesis 2:1-3, Psalms 33:6-9, 102:25, Hebrews 4:3,10. The second law is the deterioration of energy, when being converted some of it turns into usless energy and can not be converted back. The second law was described Psalms 102:26, Romans 8:18-23, Hebrews 1:10-12.

World is composed of 7 states one of honey, another of sugar, a third of butter, and still another of wine, The whole mass is borne on the heads of countless elephants, which in shaking produce earthquakes."
The Muslim Quran writes about a camel who lept out of a rock and became a prophet ( Suras 7:73-77,85 91:14, 54:29 ). A village turned into apes for fishing on the sabbath ( Suras 2:65; 7:163-166). Seven men who slept for 309 years and awoke in great health ( Sura 18:9-26). The pieces of four dead cut up birds flying away ( Sura 2:260). It states Mohammed cut the moon in half with his sword. The elephant army of Abrah was defeated by birds dropping baked clay on them, but they was defeated by smallpox. You could go on and on. That was just a small sample.
The Egyptians at the time of the Bible believed the world was hatched from a cosmic egg. The believed it had wings and flew. The thought the sun was a reflection of the earths light, and man srang up from slime from white worms.
