Being a christian today seems different to me. Im excited to be a christian but when I meet others that are christian and who go to church and are active with church they are like not that happy. They speak awesomely about jesus and God but yet they are never pumped up for church its just a duty and a task. Although when I go to church I feel that im at a concert. Im ready to sing loud for jesus im ready to just talk about God for hours. Yet other christians esp my youth group they just show up and they know God but I feel as if they just dont care as much as I do as if they arent as excited as Iam.
If theres one thing God has made me into is someone who is spontaneous and ready to go for any moment. My youth group looks at me as this weird guy and its like come on. Every time someone wants prayer Im typically the first to jump up and go yeah lets pray im ready for it. Yet its so awkward, I have to make alot of moves first before the group decides to move. My youth group used to be big, now its 3 girls , me and two other guys that show up sometimes. Like when we have event to where we do something as a group its more of her and her friends not the group. Like they go to the beach for them it seems like not for God, its seems that sometimes its the excuse. Like oh lets sing one song and then make food and talk about things and gossip. Where is the lets talk about jesus moment wheres the part where we talk about the bible.
I dont know I would like a lot of feedback on this for the fact that im thinking about leaving this church. To go and find a group who is as ready as Iam. The church is so small and I feel kinda bad for even thinking about leaving. Part of myself says mike your being selfish while the other says ... you need to find another group and be this spontaneous guy. And again please all feedback would be nice good or bad.
