No more a child deaf nor blinded
Receiving spiritual sight
Responsive, open-minded
I saw Salvation's Light
I'm now so blessed, I'm loved, I've life
Christ, as King, Lord and friend
Although ended, is not all strife
My joy will never end
How oft, my God I'd failed You
Denouncing You in scorn
Before drinking Life's Morning Dew
Before being reborn
Jesus revealed Himself to me
Once living Truth was heard
What happened on Calvary's tree
To God's eternal Word
Love's grace took careful hold of me
Jesus' hand clasping mine
From sin and shame setting me free
Grafting in Life's True Vine
Eating the fruit, sharing the same
Living by Heaven's code
My heart, my soul's now set aflame
Without sin's crushing load
While thinking back, looking ahead
What was, what is today
What once was quick. lies rigid dead
Rotting in foul decay
Before Life's journey, shameful alone
Lost, unable to see
Whilst many would toss the first stone
Love came and lifted me.....
