Hi, This is my first time on this forum.
I joined so I can challenge, encourage and interact with other people about my experiences, but also have the opportunity to learn and hear about others. I've been called the walking testimony. I will forever rejoice in my salvation through Christ. I am thankful for the way God has worked in my life, and I am willing to be Gods faithful servant and help others grow through Christ. My success, my healing, my growth... only exists through the grace of God. And the real post begins...
#beatingeatingdisorders No longer suffering, but still every day improving.
Our lives have become self-centred. We are constantly focusing on ourselves that we lose sight of the people next to us who are suffering.
Our view on the world can become so narrowed (by ourselves) that we become ignorant to what someone else is going through. They say ignorance is bliss... What a load of crap... Ignorance is DESTRUCTIVE.
We see this in action every day... Sexism, racism, homophobia, discrimination and the marginalisation of people with disabilities, body issues and mental health issues.
It's time to change the lens in which we see things.
It's time to take the focus off yourself, and start to see things from a Birdseye view. Then you will start to feel, to love, to connect, to live!!!
I'm just a statistic - another number -someone else who had an eating disorder, but who managed to overcome it.
But let's be attentive, let's take the focus off ourselves, and then... But only then... Will you become the hero in someone else's story.
So that person doesn't always stay a number.
I have to admit... It took many people to help me... Now I consider them all my heroes.
Tears might be the start, but growth and strength will meet you at the end of this season!
