Bear A Thought

In Christ we see who reigns on high
Who’s love will never cease
Through whom we need no longer die
In whom we now have peace

I must admit before Christ came
To death I gave much thought
But now in truth I’m not the same
I’ve seen my Lord’s report

No longer are my thoughts for me!
Through Christ I’ve learned to care
The truth of God has set me free
With others love to share

Now brother, sister, neighbour too
I’ll show what life’s about
Even these words I share with you
I pray will take your doubt

The bibles speaks of long ago
Of Lazarus and hell
The seed of which began to grow
That I the truth should tell

Now some may hear; but cast aside
The light that dwells my heart
Yet if but one can join the bride
I’ll know I’ve played my part

I never gave a thought before
If others lived or died
But with the Key to Heaven’s Door
How much to God I’ve cried


To cry in prayer, yes even groan
To care for someone strange
Took Jesus perfect love alone
To bring such wondrous change…
