My Lord my God I wish to see
And know life’s perfect way
To live and serve to savour free
The joy of judgement day

Open to truth my worldly mind
My heart to selfless love
Yet keep my eyes to evil blind
That I may rise above

The world at large walks plagued with doubt
In multicoloured shrouds
Yet still my God You heard my shout
Amidst the maddening crowds

Allow my head be lifted high
By grace restore my sight
That I may bid this world goodbye
And walk towards The Light

My hope my God is in Your name
By faith I’m standing bold
Praying You rid my heart of shame
And purify as gold

Stumbling amidst this world’s debris
Fighting in righteous fear
Knowing Your blood has set me free
To see The Truth so clear

I’ve seen the error of my ways
My sinful life laid bear
In spirit now I lift my gaze
And all my faults declare

I pray my God don’t pass me by
Hear my aching soul
Please hear my heartfelt fervent cry
And make Your servant whole
