I am not fond of this new format, especially with two years' worth of blogs being wiped out overnight.
Sigh.
Well, my friends, I have crossed my Rubicon. I have turned in my badge, said my goodbyes, and now I'm unemployed and off to Texas in about a month. Everything that has provided for my welfare, everything that has defined me and my status for a decade has been set down. Do I have a plan? uh.....
God's called, and I'm going.
Now, even in light of a life that largely defamed all that is holy, I'm being pulled towards seminary. Even my wife has gotten that word, and that really astounds me, since she knows me better than even I do.
The last few days have taught me how much I have missed being so busy in my everyday life. I have been still more than I have ever been before, and I have been able to see God's touch in so many areas of my life that I had missed because I was concentrating on all the wrong things.
I am scared. I'm so far out of my comfort zone right now I don't even know where it is anymore. I have put my faith in God Almighty though, and He is worthy of trust.
Blessings to you and your house.
Shawn
