So arrogant and proud am I?
Frustrating heart and soul
How can I live how can I die?
And reach life’s unseen goal?
How can I lose this foolish pride?
From arrogance be free
Rid of darkness warring inside
That Light may shine in me
Lord dear God receive my prayer
Lend ear my earnest plea
Consume the evil I declare
This wickedness You see
Remove from me this mask of lies
Filth poisoning my heart
My selfish ways You so despise
Command Lord God depart
Allow me drink Salvation’s flow
Partake of Heaven’s Dew
Baptise me in Your liquid glow
Till grace comes smiling through
Let love remove the devil’s crown
Let faith my soul ignite
Till walls of darkness crumble down
And perish from Your sight
There’s nothing Lord You fail to see
Nothing from You can hide
In Jesus’ name please set me free
Turn back life’s wayward tide
Renouncing all my sins before
However great or small
To Satan’s knock I’ve locked my door
