After reading the book of Exodus concerning the tabernacle in the wilderness and having done an in-depth study of the Ark of the Covenant, I had some questions that I needed answers to. One of the most important questions I had was why was it that while the tabernacle was in the wilderness for 40 years only the high priest could go into the Holy of Holies once a year (Leviticus 16:2) (Leviticus 16:34) (Hebrews 9:7)
(Exodus 25:10-22) (Exodus 28:33-35)? But after Moses dies and the people of Israel are about to cross the river Jordan, the Ark of the Covenant was exposed and all of the people of Israel are told to look at it without fear of being killed by God (Joshua 3:1-3). I finally asked the Lord in prayer this question and He answered me. The Holy Spirit answered my question and said that the Ark of the Covenant in the wilderness was a type/shadow of the Lord Jesus Christ’s body in the tomb (hidden) (Matthew 27:58-60) and when the Israelites are told to look upon the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Spirit said that was a type/shadow of the resurrection of Jesus Christ (revealed) (Joshua 3:1-3).
