Why do we seek our own desire?
Why does we walk astray?
Why don’t we seek a little higher?
And walk down wisdom way
The devil knows our wayward mind
Our lust his; ways to learn
He knows if we would die still blind
With him, we’ll surely burn
So why continue life as fools?
Believing Satan’s lie
Why do we choose to be his tools?
And bar the way on high
Are we so dumb, our eyes so dim?
We’re sightless of our goals
We risk much more than life and limb
We risk our very souls
Surrender to God’s mighty hand
Submit to Jesus’ love
Allow God’s Seed within our land
Bear fruit for life above
Its not so hard God’s way to see
His truth to comprehend
God’s guiding Lamp is ours for free
If but our knees would bend
Let Jesus turn in life the tide
Remove our life’s debris
Reveal the filth we’ve sought to hide
Disclose the truth to see
Escape the sword of Heaven’s wrath
Dismiss your life of crime
Refuse to walk the devil’s path
