Uganda is an example of what true revival looks like. Uganda’s history had been ridden with so much turmoil, civil wars, poverty and prevalent diseases such as HIV-AIDS. Prior to joining the world wide community in ushering in of the 2000 New Year celebrations, the first lady of Uganda, Mrs. Janet Museveni (a bible believing Christian), held a national day of repentance in 1999. Ugandans were all packed into a stadium and they started to repent and then praise God. The repentance sounded like something that came out of the King James Bible. They repented from everything including witchcraft, sexual immorality and idolatry. She dedicated the land of Uganda to Lord Jesus Christ and that there would be no other God and they made a covenant to do this. God had kept his promise written in Joel 2 & 3, he started to restore the land. Even when during the Sudan civil war spilling onto their soil, which could have had ramifications, I truly believe the Lord had his hands to prevent destabilisation of this region. Uganda is a Christian nation surrounded by Muslim nations. I feel God is using this nation to show us all what true revival and restoration looks like. Uganda is showing a healing in its land including the economy and its battle with HIV-AIDS. Twice I saw a documentary on this beautiful nation and how they dedicated their land to Jesus and yesterday, I saw another documentary regarding this miracle. Suddenly I realised God was showing me what a real revival looks like if a nation gathers its people and repents. There was an interview I saw regarding a Ugandan by the name of Mr. Andrew Moro. God had given him, while in a University, the ability to heal a well-known blind woman. Here he gathered the people as a witness but they were about to stone him to death for even thinking about being healing this blind woman. You remember they had just repented from witchcraft in 1999 and they probably would have thought that Mr. Moro was a witch. However, God instructed him that whatever Andrew asks he would do. So the woman was healed and everyone including the principle repented. This man could have been stoned to death if this woman remained in her blindness.
So what does Andrew do next? Does he hold a healing revival? Does he have people stand in line and then later collect a bit of money to supposedly carry the costs? No.
What this young man has done should be a great example to the so-called mega church healers in the West. This man with his bible walked into the hospital and started to target patients especially the terminally ill, in this hospital the first miracle was to heal this young woman dying from AIDS. Doctors and nurses seen this and accepted Jesus Christ as their saviour.
This man is an example of humility. He gave God all the glory. This young man said every time he was healing someone his level of faith went up a level and it made him want to continue trying to heal people. What I saw was a true healer. I turned to my husband and said, if God decided to give me healing hands, I would follow the example of this young man and walk into every hospital and sick bed to heal. I would not call attention to myself and give ALL the glory to God. This is what Jesus did and this is what the disciples did. Jesus went to their home, to their sick bed to met them where they were. Jesus walked to these people and did not hold a tent meeting and did so privately. How many times did Jesus tell these people not to tell anyone YET they did so anyhow. This is true healing. This is true revival.
God is still working in the world today folks but our bibles give the greatest instructions and examples and we should not turn to any man that adds their own thoughts to the word of God. Do you think anyone from Lakeland Revival were to lay hands on people in a hospital and focus on the terminally ill, those with AIDS and cancer, do you know how many people would come to Christ just in one hospital. You would not need to go on Geraldo Rivera show papers of evidence or income tax documents FOR the doctors and nurses themselves would be the witnesses to this miracles taking place in their hospital. Every media outlet would be on this story so fast; our minds would not even have to time to digest it all. Then we will all know it is the move of God without any questions asked.
Every day, God shows me the truth to what I had blinded myself to for quite sometime and I love HIM for allowing me TO SEE. I praise HIS loving name.
May the Lord richly bless you,
