Allow Me Passage.....

My God my God don’t let me fail
Nor grieve my precious Lord
Please don’t allow life’s boat to sail
With me not safe on board

You say from me you’d never part
But help me combat sin
You see I try, you see my heart
My precious soul within

I know I’ve sinned and fallen short
With devils hand in hand
But now my filthy past has taught
In You alone; I’ll stand

I seek to live my life anew
Each day I do my best
Although I know the good I do
Can never earn me rest

So now You see I’m crying Lord
Seeking in truth Your face
For now I know I can’t afford
To die in my disgrace

Forgive my God this foolish child
The filthiness You find
Forgive my lust my running wild
My wilful selfish mind

Forgive the evil things I’ve done
Demonic things I’ve said
I’m calling on Your Lamb and Son
Who’s risen from the dead

Please cleans me as I come to You
Consume what still would hide
That I may take up passage too
