It is so interesting that these first 8 verse all begin with the letter Aleph, the first letter of the Aleph-bet
- Happy (asre) is the blameless one who walks in their way of the LORDs Torah
- Happy (asre) are they who guard his testimonies and seek him with all their heart
- They (ap) also do not make iniquity in the way they walk
- YOU (atah) have ordained your precepts to be kept diligently
- Oh that (ahalay) my ways were established to keep your statues
- Then (az) I would not be ashamed when I look into all your commandments
- I will praise you (odkha - aleph is silent here) in uprightness of heart when I have learned of your righteous judgements.
- (et, Aleph-Tav, not translated) Your Statues I will keep, do not forsake me!
