Acts In Progress

The bible has a lot to say
So much for man to see
The word of God lives now today
Inside of you and me

Did God not say, within man’s heart?
The truth would come to stay?
That all in Christ would play a part
Does that not mean today?

Indeed! God’s word goes marching on
Right through this present age
Like Matthew, Mark, like Luke and John
We too may write a page

So those to come may take a look
What deeds we; had to bring
We’ll join our brothers in the book
That glorifies our King

We need to learn from past mistakes
From all who’ve served before
To show in Christ which road one takes?
Towards the narrow door

But first we too must be of light
No sign of sin or shame
Then eyes may see, and hearts just might
Be led to do the same

For man is blind and cannot tell
They see through Satan’s eyes
Deceived! They’re on the road to hell
Because of evil lies

They must receive God’s precious wine
His truth with all the facts
In all we do, must Jesus shine
