Over the last few weeks the Lord has really been..... showing me that I am going to be used in ways that I can never imagine. I was talking to a hindu friend of mine in Norway, the other day and he said something that till today I did not understand.
He said, "Mark you are more then a teacher you are a master. There are not many people who can make the God's word make sense to people, to break it down so that others have a clear understanding, You open it up. I guess I never really looked at myself as a teacher never mind a master, I think if myself as a student of people.
But God has really blessed me through the years to have given me the opportunity to share my faith with the unification church to have served as a handy man in their center in Boston on Beacon hill and the book called divine principal by Rev. Moon. To have sat at his feet and talk to him about my faith with him, and to have looked at him straight in the eye and answer him "No" When he asked me if I believed he was the second comming of Christ.
To have been invited time after time to come have a meal with them and interact sharing why I chose to be a Christian and not a hari Christna, I have read the whole book of "Bhagavad Gita" and to tell them that although San Scrit was a great language and that the book was great theology. But that Budda was still sleeping in tai dam square, and that my God never sleeps. They all shook their heads and said "you are a very wise man, you would make a great Buddist.
To share the Christian faith takes time to listen to the other person no matter what they believe, if you feel they are wrong or not. I was watching the news tonight and a report of an evangelical pastor went to Uganda and spoke out to a crowd that the gays were recruting children and started an uproar there. The Uganda goverment then attempted to pass a bill that would kill all homosexual people caught by hanging them to death!!
Now I hate homosexuality and much as God does, but why not go to Uganda and talk to them about their ways, pray with them, and maybe just maybe you get some people saved! Remeber dear readers God hates the sin but he loves the sinner. I have had opportunity to talk to gays and lesbians alike I have prayed with them, bought lunch for them, and have gotten them to accept Gods free gift of salvation and walked away from the gay lifestyle.
I've had people leave the cults, and start a new life as God's child, It's a wonderful feeling. All we need to do is take time to share and SHUT UP and listen to them, and to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
