  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A Single Drop

You formed me Lord from lifeless soil
You made me flesh and bone
Yet pour a minute drop of oil
Upon my heart of stone

A single drop of oil my King
A speck of liquid light
That I with joy one day may sing
When ended is the fight

The fight for righteousness and love
Through Christ Your Lamb and Son
Anoint my soul from high above
That victory may be won

Anoint me Lord for service here
With faith with hope and trust
With love that takes away all fear
And turns all doubt to dust

A drop to see me through each day
Throughout my darkest eve
A single drop along The Way
Where souls no longer greave

Anoint my head my troubled soul
My tortured heart set free
My eyes that I may see the goal
Where Christ would have me be

Only a minute drop my God
No need have I for more
With Jesus as my staff and rod
Victory’s ever sure

A drop of oil is all I crave
A drop from Jesus’ hand
To lift me from the common grave
Into The Promised Land
