"GET OUT OF THE WAY KID!" Shouted a Roman Soldier.
Ryan turned around in shock and fear...where was he? This isn't home...This city..
"ARE YOU DEAF?" The Roman Soldier Bellowed. A young girl came to Ryan's rescue and pulled him aside and took him in to the house nearby.
"Who are you? What strange clothes you have? What Empire are you from?" came the torrent of questions from the girls mouth.
"I...I...Where am I?" Ryan asked and his eyes scanned around the small house. There wasn't much except a small table and a couple of chairs and a kitchen and some pottery. The girl before him was wearing a light tan tunic dress with a green ribbon like belt at her waist. Olive skin, dark black hair, brown eyes...she was pretty...
"Are you deaf?" She said slowly,"Can you read my lips?"
Ryan snapped back in focus and said," No I'm not deaf...Where am I? Who are you?
The girl giggled and replied,"Who am I? Who are you? Where are you from? You are the one who is on the street wearing such odd clothes and seem kind of dumb. Answer my question and I'll answer yours. Fair deal?"
"My name is Ryan and i'm from Colorado this is what we wear." By that he mean he was wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans with white sneakers...it was what people wore...Those kind of clothes at least.
"Well my name is Lydia and well I was born here in Israel."
"WHAT!!! ISRAEL NO THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!! WHAT YEAR IS IT?" He said in a rush full of panic
"Its 30 AD why are you alright?" Lydia asked with concern
"Its 2012 AD where I came from...but I didn't listen...The old man told me not to touch the book." Ryan said more to himself than to her
"What book?" Lydia asked
"The Bible, he said this bible has a kind of power that transport people back in time."
"The Bible? Whats a bible?" Lydia asked
"You know...The Bible, The Word of God..written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, but consisting of the Old Testament, New Testament..Paul wrote most of the New Testament..." Ryan trailed off
"Paul? Are you talking about Saul of Tarsus, Paul who saw Jesus...that Paul? Look this is confusing to me...I seen Paul a few times but I listen to Peter all the time..You know Peter the Apostle of Jesus the Messiah but we don't have a bible or anything like it."
This was all a dream...it has to be I can't be literally be in the New Testament times...Ryan thought to himself...I need sleep then i'll wake up and i'll be at home...Ryan said to himself.
"I'm tired...I need to sleep, I have no where else to go." Ryan said
"You can stay here tonight and you can sleep on the floor there." Lydia said
