Saturday, November 08, 2008, 12:15 a.m. – The Lord gave me A VISION:
The first thing he did was to put this song into my head again:
To Celia, a.k.a Drink To Me Only With Thine Eyes / Ben Jonson
Drink to me, only, with thine eyes,
And I will pledge with mine ;
Or leave a kiss but in the cup,
And I'll not look for wine.
The thirst that from the soul doth rise,
Doth ask a drink divine :
But might I of Jove's nectar sup,
I would not change for thine.
I sent thee, late, a rosy wreath,
Not so much honoring thee,
As giving it a hope, that there
It could not wither'd be.
But thou thereon didst only breathe,
And sent'st it back to me :
Since when it grows, and smells, I swear,
Not of itself, but thee.
Then, I saw football players on a football field dancing with each other like they were having a good time just goofing off. They were in uniform. I saw one of the players kick the ball, but it was like they were doing it just for fun; they were not taking it seriously. Then I saw what looked like a wolf mascot (a person in costume) and then a dog mascot (a person in costume), I believe. Then I saw a white male player with his helmet off and I saw his head transform into the head of an animal of some kind and then back and then other players, it appeared, grew ears longer and then back to normal, etc.
I saw the scanning of my brain (or someone’s brain) again and I heard the voices that sound like I’m hearing them via radio waves and like I’m turning a dial on a radio to move quickly through the various stations. I heard my name. END
Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. I read Hosea 6:
Israel Unrepentant
1 "Come, let us return to the LORD.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds.
2 After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us,
that we may live in his presence.
3 Let us acknowledge the LORD;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth."
4 "What can I do with you, Ephraim?
What can I do with you, Judah?
Your love is like the morning mist,
like the early dew that disappears.
5 Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets,
I killed you with the words of my mouth;
my judgments flashed like lightning upon you.
6 For I desire mercy, not sacrifice,
and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.
7 Like Adam, they have broken the covenant—
they were unfaithful to me there.
8 Gilead is a city of wicked men,
stained with footprints of blood.
9 As marauders lie in ambush for a man,
so do bands of priests;
they murder on the road to Shechem,
committing shameful crimes.
10 I have seen a horrible thing
in the house of Israel.
There Ephraim is given to prostitution
and Israel is defiled.
11 "Also for you, Judah,
a harvest is appointed.
TBKC: “The comparison of judgment to a harvest (cf. Jer. 51:33; Joel 3:13) emphasizes its certainty (appointed) and its thoroughness.”
My Understanding: The song in the beginning is a love song about unrequited love. I believe this represents how our Lord wants to have an exclusive relationship with us, he sent us Jesus, the rose of Sharon, and the gift of salvation, but we have given it back unused. I also see how this applies to the Lord sending us his messengers at the end of time and how many will just send them back.
I believe this vision is showing us what is spoken about in the book of Revelation concerning the beasts of the last days and how America and the church in America are just like these football players who are just playing around; not taking the game seriously. So, Satan is gaining control of America and of the church in America.
So, the Lord has a day of harvest (judgment) appointed for us because of our prostitution. This passage of scripture is about unrepentant Israel (the church) but how God, once he has brought judgment, is going to revive her and restore her so that she may live in his presence. This is a call to return to the Lord.
