A Few Details

In addition to the picture above, I was led to several other items at the same time

~ A mysterious postcard from France

~ an embroidered crown

~ a cryptic card and pictures from my grandfather

~ a picture of a crest with a white horse

~ The postcard was of the country of France, and had two stamps, one from Troyes, one from Sologne, and only said " Hello, goodbye " in French, and was written to my mother ( Who passed from cancer in 2001 while we were estranged ). It was dated 1972, the year of my birth, which was the last year that my father, who apparently was from France, had contact with my mother

~ The crown was an embroidery my mother had made while dying in hospice care, and was just one of a few embroideries she had made during that time. It's apparently St Edward's crown, the crown of the British house of royalty

~ The card from grandpa was strange, had a Scottish terrier chasing a bee, and said something about how there would come a day when I would understand what he had sent, which was a B and W picture of him in front of an altar decorated with Suns, Moons and Stars, and then a sticker of a pirate's flag, the jolly roger, and then a sticker of a wheel with wings

I could only chalk it up to his involvement with either freemasonry or some other occult group

The only real knowledge anybody had of my father, was from my grandfather, who said my father's parents were French diplomats who flew to DC to have dinner with him when I was born, and that's the only time the two sides of the family have crossed paths, to my knowledge

~ The crest of a white horse was from Neddersassen, ( Lower Saxony ) which is where my mother's side of the family is from

Considering then, I had at least some knowledge of my family's origins...

The blue crest of Troyes was one of the stamps on the card from France
