Lord,
When I raise my voice, let it be praising your name. When I talk about someone, let it be me praying that you meet their needs. When I cry, let it be when I am crying out to you. When I roll my eyes up, let it be me looking up to you. When I get angry, let it be towards the devil. When I can’t sleep, let it be because you have laid someone on my heart to intercede in prayer for. When I pass someone in need of my help, let it be after they have declined the offer of my help. When I let go of someone’s hand who is hurting, let it be our hands releasing after prayer. When I look at a map, let it be for travel direction, and not my own directions in life. Lord, if I lead someone somewhere from my actions, let it be to you. When my mouth opens for food, let it be followed by my thankfulness to you for it. When I open a book, let it be words that glorify you. When I let go of someone after a hug, let it be after I have told them of your goodness. When I look to a doctor for help and see results, let it be that I look to you, and give you glory because you are the ultimate healer, and acknowledge that you are the one who has given them the wisdom. When you lay someone on my heart to pray for, let my feet lead me to them, and not out the door. When I reach into my pocket to help prosper an organization, let it be when the offering plate passes my way. When I compare myself with something, let it be towards the ways you asked me to live. When I judge someone, let it be myself. When I speak your scriptures to others, let it be encouraging, and knowledgeable, and not condemning. When I am convicted, let it be that I don’t run away, but run into it, and identify it. When I have doubts, let it be in mankind. When I say go away out of spite, let it be me telling the devil to flee. When I think of bitterness, let it be because my cup of tea needs more sugar. When I feel alone, let it be because I am in my prayer closet. When I am going through a storm, let it be that I don’t seek shelter on earth, but praise you, and find shelter in your arms. When I cope, let my method be me resting in your bosom, and not in the sins of the world. When I break something out of anger, let it be in prayer for the chains that set me free.
