Friends I have noticed an ugly and sinful trait of mine. From a very young age I have felt the need to be correct about everything. This manifested itself not only in school but also on sports teams, in scouting, in family get-to-gathers, et al. It is my goal to defeat this ugly trait and replace it with seeing people as Jesus does. I believe that seeing people as Jesus does will help me to learn humility and to become the person of Love that Jesus calls us all to be. After prayer the first step I have taken is to adopt an Amish/Quaker practice. When a craftsman is building a chair or quilting, one small insignificant imperfection is left purposely. This is, in their reasoning, because "only God makes perfect." Thus my goal in my writing is to leave spelling or grammar mistakes to help me keep in mind that even though I believe I am always right, I am not. Pray for me friends and I shall pray for you.
