Legal Authority for the G20.
The G20 is an International Form for governments and central bankers. As such it is not legally binding on the members. This will soon change as the leaders decide to make this `ad hoc` group into a permanent institution with legal authority.
The group`s chair rotates annually among the members and is selected from a different regional grouping (5) of countries.
The G20 Presidency starts from 1 December until 30 November.
The 2019 chair was Japan which was hosted in Osaka.
The 2020 chair will be Saudi Arabia, which will be in Riyadh.

This 5 rotation of Presidents will come to an end and then I believe, the newly appointed president of Europe will take over. Finally there will be the last Global leader, the President of the G20, from Islam.
Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Sal Salman will host the 2020 G20 Summit.
Next year, Saudi Arabia will become the first Middle Eastern country to host the event, in Riyadh.
Saudi Ambassador to Japan Naif bin Marzouq Al-Fahadi said: “The recent reforms in the Kingdom, especially economic ones, have contributed to strengthening the image of the Kingdom globally and raising its level of influence in international forums.”
