Just realised I haven't updated this since 2008!!! How things have changed! I did get through Provincial selection and got recommended for training towards Ordination - I am now going into my 3rd year at St Michaels in Cardiff with the hopeful intent of being Ordained next June.
In those two years I also decided to lose some weight (met someone and fell in love - couldn't eat lol and then just cut down after that) I lost 5 1/2 stone and Im desp trying to keep it off now (hard when its the hols and you are back home with mum!)
I feel great though and love being able to buy clothes off the rack (I was a 26 and Im now a 14/16)
One sad thing that happened was that in April last year my father passed away having battled with Lung Cancer - it was a lovely ending to his life though as he came to know God more - at his funeral were 1 Canon/2 Priest and a Deacon! So he got quite a send off! We do miss him and talk about him in joy - thinking of all the funny moments we used to have.
As I said I also fell in love - its been quite difficult for me as he won't completely commit to me due to his health in part but we enjoy the unusual relationship that we have and see each other alot speak daily - he is a constant source of joy (and frustration to me at times lol) in my life and has given up alot for me to be in his life. I adore him and he counts me as the centre of his world!!
My training is going well and I have been blessed with many new friends! I love being in Parish and even though the academic work can be boring at times - it certainly isn't the strain I thought it would be - I am only a couple of points away from gaining a 2:1 next year, which for someone who would rather socialise than study isn't too bad!
Well Thats my little update - On the boards I am enjoying a return to Angel Duties and getting so much pleasure from that! I'm sure I should be studying some weighty Theological tome but at the moment I'm reading 'The abundant heart' instead - a catholic book about being Evangelical and catholic - much more my kind of thing!!
