When I was an acounting major in college, I remember learning about this common practice among car makers that when they found a defeect they did a cost analysis of what the lawsuits would cost versus the cost of a recall. A calculated risk that sometimes backfires as in this case and costs them more but does not address the criminal aspect of the lives lost or injuries as a result of a cost analysis on the part of Ford.
Same here. I don't think Henry Ford planned this type of shady business.AsburyJuke said:I always assumed they did that, kinda horrifying that it was part of your course!
No arguement here. I am glad that justice was at least partially served and there was at least some compensation.Blessed75 said:Okay people, I did not mean to start an argument here. I agree, no amount of money in the world is going to un-do the damage that was done to this little girl, however, I do choose to try and look at the positive. At least this money will go to numerous medical bills etc. That I guess was the way that I saw it.
Thanks - that's the point I was trying to drive home.........although I do see where everyone else was coming from as well.......Yitzchak said:No arguement here. I am glad that justice was at least partially served and there was at least some compensation.
