Palestine IS the land of their origin. Many of the people in Gaza, or their direct ancestors, were expelled form their homes in other parts of Israel, including the West Bank.
So were the original Israelites. You don't seem to care at all about that. No palestine is not the land of their origin.

The Caanaanites held the land when Abram was called by God from out of Babylon and was told to come to Caanaan and settle there with his family. Abram owned a lot of slaves and had a wife and some concubines. They settled in Caanaan. Later, Abram's name was changed to Abraham and Yahweh told him he would give Abraham all the land he dwelt in. But it would not happen in his lifetime. Abraham had a son named Ishmael, from which the Arab nations descended and Abraham had a son from his wife Sarah whom they named Issac.

From Issac came Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel. Jacob had 12 sons from his wives and concubines and later, the whole clan, numbering about 75 souls, moved into Egypt because of a famine and Egypt had all the food. The children of Israel, as they were called, lived in Egypt over 400 years. according to Exodus 12:40. Some people number the 430 years from Abraham to the departure from Egypt, but Exodus 12:40 said the "Children of Israel (Jacob) had dwelt in Egypt 430 years". Anyway, after the 430 years, Israel departed out of Egypt and wandered in the Sinai Peninsula for 40 years.

At the end of the 40 years the Israelites invaded Caanaan and began to disposess the Caanaanites of their land. Israel never did completely disposess all of the Caanaanites, and found themselves at war for hundreds of years with various groups of the people of Caanaan. One of the groups were the Philistines, where modern day Gaza is. Israel became a kingdom under Saul and later Yahweh replaced Saul with David. David founded the 12-tribed Kingdom of Israel and after his son Solomon died, the kingdom became known as the divided Kingdom.

In the North, there were the ten tribes that constituted the nation of Israel. In the south there was the kingdom of Judah. This was about the tenth century CE. For the next eleven centuries Palestine belonged to the Israelites and the Jews (with some exceptions while they had various periods of captivity). In the early second century CE the Jews had one rebellion too many and the Romans, who were in charge dispersed them among the nations of the earth.

Control of Palestine switched back and forth between certain nations in the next 19 centuries and the city of Jerusalem proved to be a sticking point between the warring nations. In 1948 Israel was re-established as a nation, 18 centuries after they were scattered to the four winds. Every since the descendants of those who owned the land before 1948 have claimed the land is theirs. But the Jews and Christians point out that God (Yahweh) had promised Abraham and his descendants that Land thousands of years ago. At the time the Christian book of Hebrews was written it was believed Abraham and his descendants had not yet possessed the land.

Were there people with weapons at Waters' speech?
Nonresponsive. We weren't there and cannot know who was carrying. Likely yes, as she has protection.

The issue is that similar rhetoric must be treated similarly; there isn't one standard for Trump and another for Democrats.

Oh but there DEFINITELY is.

Trump is a terrible person who frequently threatens and insults people he doesn't like (didn't he just last week say he would execute Milley)? He is CONSTANTLY threatenning all manner of people involved in his legal proceedings AND IS GETTING AWAY WITH IT.

So please.....enough with the "false equivalency" non sense.

The descent to ad hominems occurs when you have no legitimate argument. You do not, on this issue. There must be ONE legal standard that applies to all. I've just demonstrated with numerous examples how rhetoric is ignored when it is Democrats and criminalized when it is Trump or other disfavored politicians. That's corruption. Open your eyes.

That's strange that you would completely ignore what I wrote as if it's of no consequence when Trump makes death threats.

I look forward to your continued post about how put upon Trump is though heads up, it undermines your point when Trump talks so....heads up!

Why is it when a Democrat says something stupid or dumb the extreme MAGA supporters are all over it like flies on crap, but when Trump says something stupid or dumb or even dangerous the conservatives either ignore it or try to cover it up and then blame the liberals of the same thing?

Please for not to lump “conservatives” in with Trump/MAGA supporters.
Thank you.
You're welcome. I am not going to lump all conservatives with the extreme MAGA supporters so I will change it. Most conservatives do not descend to the level that MAGA supporters do. So, I am changing my comment above.

To be fair, us on the left sometimes "minimize" the comments from our side too. But what is difficult to stomach is when a death threat to Milley is equated with Biden stuttering out some nonsense.

I never have understood how stuttering can be debilitating enough to disqualify one from being President.

Oh, he definitely says stupid things. He really needs to SHUT UP while in litigation, and in criminal trials for sure. I can't even believe his own attorneys can't get him to remain silent.

He has the right; he simply doesn't have the ability (as comedian Ron White put it - about himself in a funny story).

But my point stands. There must be a single standard on which rhetoric is judged.

Heres one of the greatest ironies I think I have ever seen. Western University student ideologues claiming Isreal is commiting ethnic cleansing while at the same time not only calling for ethnic cleansing of Jews but being willing to pay for it.

How can the West can sunken so low that we are regressing back into old hatreds like antisemitism. Its also happening to women where womens rights are being wound back and theres this increasing hatred divide based on identity. We are actually going backwards and becoming more hateful and violent towards each other.

I think the worst of this is the hypocrisy behind the lie. It is right there for everyone to see and know, if they so choose.

What is the land of their origin then?
Not Israel. Jew's lived there. A land simply RENAMED. Israel was attacked, and took more land through war .As is usual to all nations through history. Palestinians could just as easily be called Gazans, and be no different than how they became called Palestinians. Jew's early on were called Palestinians as well. It was simply a land renamed
Throughout history.

Yes but thats a classic sign of indoctrination. The ideology is pumped into them over and over in different ways so that their world view becomes narrower and any contradiction is threatening. So ideologues will not even entertain facts or truth and will turn the truth into another attack on their world.

This indoctrination has been happening for decades with Critical theories and it infiltrated the acadamy into a massive growth in social sciences and teachers which has resulted in DEI ideology pushed onto students and in recent years into mainstream society.

But as this ideology is unreal, denies the truth it eventually comes undone. It was hidden for years and mainly on the fringes but as its come out in society more it is being exposed. The recent Hamas attack has forced ideologues to reveal the true hate and irrational ideas and hopefully this will help others to realise what this is really all about.

Which is Marxism, cultural Marxism underlying this thinking. That society is divided into identity groups where there are the oppressors like the West and Isreal and the victims which is anyone the ideologues decide is worthy. The rest must be destroyed, brought down and overcome.

Well, in another thread discussing birthright citizenship, I brought this up. All the people here illegally, giving birth. A response I got was, they take the child back to their country and raise them. I was speaking of terrorists. Then when these kids are grown they have full on access as citizens. That concern was turned into racism, or some such nonsense.
